¿What is hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis is a disorder characterized by excessive sweating. The excessive sweating can occur in the hands (palmar hyperhidrosis), in the armpits (axillary’s hyperhidrosis), in the feet (plantar hyperhidrosis), and in the face with face blushing.
All these symptoms come together with a feeling of shame and the strong anxiety to get rid of it, developing in the patient a denominated “Social Phobia”.
Incidence
The Hyperhidrosis disease appears in 1 % of the world’s population and much more even, since this condition is not always diagnosed; most patients usually disregard the excessive sweating, never realizing they might have a medical condition. This illness is more freacuente in Asia, Israel, and Brazil, with its lower incidence in North America.
